Spacecare Power Tool Organizer Review

I mounted the Spacecare power tool organizer in about 20 minutes and cleared every drill, battery and charger off my counter.

The Spacecare power tool organizer is worth buying if your drills, batteries and chargers live in drawers and on the counter. I assembled it inside, marked four holes with a level, drilled, anchored, and had it hanging in about 15 or 20 minutes. Buy it.

Quick Verdict

Four anchors, four screws, and about 15 or 20 minutes later every drill, saw, screwdriver and battery I owned was off the counter. The four holes lined up perfectly because I marked them with the shelf itself. If your garage looks like mine did, drill on the counter, batteries in a drawer, charger cord draped over a shelf edge, this fixes all of it in one 20-minute install.

Buy if you:

  • Have drills and batteries scattered in drawers and on a counter
  • Want chargers and batteries living in one spot on the wall
  • Can handle a drill, a level and four wall anchors
  • Own a drill, a saw and a pile of screwdrivers that need a home

Using Your Power Tool Organizer as a Template

I held the assembled unit up to the wall and marked straight off the little holes in the back. Put a level on top, marked four spots, drilled, hammered the anchors in, then screwed in the four screws and hung it. The four holes lined up on the first try, no measuring tape, no second pass. The Part After the Install: Chargers Need a Plug

The shelf holds the chargers, but it doesn’t power them. All my batteries and chargers are sitting up there now, which is great, except the cords still have to reach somewhere. My next plan is to wire a power strip over here so whichever battery I need to charge just plugs in right there. Budget for that. Otherwise upkeep is nothing. It’s a steel shelf on a wall.

Would I Pick This Up Again?

Yes. Drill hanging, saws all there, screwdrivers and batteries all there, and the counter is clear. The counter is clear, the drawers are empty, and I can grab whichever drill I need without moving anything else, which is exactly what I wanted. Over 200 of these sold on Amazon in the past month and it’s been sitting near its usual price for three months, so there’s no reason to sit on it waiting for a dip. If that sounds like your garage, it’s an easy one to grab on Amazon.

Pros

  • Whole install took about 15 or 20 minutes
  • Back holes let you mark the wall off the unit, so the four screws line up
  • Holds drills, a saw, screwdrivers, batteries and chargers together
  • Cleared my drawers and counter in one pass

Cons

  • Shelving unit has to be assembled before you mount it
  • No power built in, so charging means adding your own strip
  • Four wall anchors means four holes you’re committing to

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on drywall or do I need studs?

I used wall anchors, hammered into four drilled holes. If you can land a stud behind one or more of those marks, even better, but anchors handled my install fine.

Will it fit tools from different battery brands?

It’s a shelf with hanging slots, not a brand-specific dock, so it doesn’t care whose drill you own. Mine holds a drill, a saw, screwdrivers and loose batteries side by side.

Can I mount it somewhere other than a garage?

Yes. Anywhere you can drill four anchor holes works, basement or workshop included. Just leave yourself outlet access if you plan to charge batteries on it.

Half a star off because the chargers sit up there with nowhere to plug in until you add your own power strip. Skip it if you can’t put four anchor holes in the wall. Build in an outlet strip and this is a five.
