Magnetic Kickflip Fingerboard Fidget Toy Review

A 3-pack of 3D printed magnetic kickflip fidget sliders with storage boxes. Satisfying click, premium feel, and my kids won't give them back.

The Magnetic Kickflip Fingerboard Fidget Toy is worth buying if you need something quiet to keep your hands busy at a desk or in the car. The magnetic click and lock-in action is the whole product, and it delivers. The 3-pack with individual storage boxes is the one to get. Buy it.

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

The Coffin One Sold Me

This is the most satisfying fidget toy I’ve seen in a long time. The company sent me a 3-pack to review: an alien, a “boom” design, and one shaped like a coffin. It locks into place in all these different positions, and it’s hard to describe how satisfying that is without you holding it. You can check the magnetic kickflip fingerboard fidget toy out on Amazon if you want to see the designs.

Each one comes with its own storage box. The coffin has a coffin-shaped box. It’s the little touches like that that I love.

You Will Not Be Good At It Right Away

The tricks take practice. Flipping it over cleanly isn’t something you do on day one, and if you buy this expecting instant skateboard moves you’re going to be annoyed for the first week. You have to sit with it and get used to the weight and the magnet pull. The basic click-and-lock is instant. The flip isn’t.

3D Printed, But They Feel Premium

3D-printed fidgets usually betray themselves the second you run a thumb across them, that ribbed, chalky drag that screams prototype. These don’t have it. The surface is smooth enough that I had to look up the product page to confirm they weren’t injection-molded. The artwork on the back of each one is etched into the print itself, no stickers, no peel risk.

The car is where I reach for this most, stopped at a light, waiting for someone, engine running but going nowhere. The click is just loud enough to register over road noise without being annoying to whoever’s in the passenger seat. That loop of feel, sound, lock, it doesn’t get old.

My kids and I have been fighting over these since we got them. That’s the real durability test, and three of them in the house is barely enough. If you’ve got more than one kid, get the 3-pack.

Buy the 3-Pack, and Buy It Now

Buy the 3-pack: pricing is near its 3-month low and stock is moving faster than average. Pricing has been flat for about three months and it’s sitting near the lowest point I’ve tracked, so there’s no waiting game here. It’s also selling better lately, ranked around #157,243 in Toys & Games against a 90-day average near #222,290, which usually means stock moves. Check today’s price on Amazon.

Pros

  • The magnetic lock-in and clicking action is the most satisfying I’ve handled
  • Feels premium despite being 3D printed, with really nice texture
  • Individual storage box for each one, shaped to match the design
  • Artwork on the back of each design
  • Small enough to live in your car or pocket

Cons

  • The flips and tricks take real practice before they look like anything
  • Three isn’t enough if your kids get hold of them

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need batteries or an app?

No. It’s purely mechanical, just magnets and a slider. Nothing to charge, nothing to pair, nothing to replace.

Is it quiet enough for a classroom or office?

It clicks, and the click is part of the appeal. It’s not loud, but it’s audible, so in a silent room someone will notice. Car, couch, and home desk are fine.

What happens if a magnet comes loose?

The magnets are seated in the printed body, so any loose piece is a small magnet, which makes this a bad pick for toddlers. Keep it to older kids and adults.

Half a star off because the trick learning curve is steeper than it looks and three units don’t survive a house with kids. Skip it if you want something silent or you’re shopping for a toddler. A fourth design in the pack and this is a five.
