Dr Browns Milestones Cheers 360 Sippy Cup Review
Seven years, three kids, still no leaks. My take on the Dr. Brown's Milestones Cheers 360 transition cup.
Dr Browns Milestones is a line I trust, and their Cheers 360 Cup is worth buying if you want a spoutless sippy cup that actually survives a kid’s whole childhood. Mine is seven years old, used by three kids, and the seal still holds water with zero leaks. Buy it if you want one cup that outlasts the "sippy cup phase" entirely.

Quick Verdict
Seven years old, three kids deep, and there’s still water sealed inside without a drop leaking out. That’s not a one-week test, that’s a whole childhood of backseat throwing and dishwasher cycles.
Buy if you:
- have a one-year-old who throws cups around in the car
- want a cup that grows from spoutless sippy into a real cup later
- are buying for multiple kids over several years
- want to see the valve seal demonstrated, not just claimed
Skip if you:
- need a cup your toddler can use day one with zero valve, straight spout style
- want something that looks like a “real cup” from the start, this has a transition stage first
- are buying for a 6-month-old needing the smaller handled version specifically, check sizing first

Still Full of Water After Seven Years
I pulled out a Dr. Brown’s Milestones cup that’s been in my house since my oldest was born and there’s still water sitting inside it with the seal intact. That’s the whole pitch of this video, not a fresh-out-of-the-box reaction. We’ve used this cup across a one-year-old, a four-year-old, and a seven-and-a-half-year-old, and the plastic valve that keeps it from spilling is the same one that’s been washed and thrown around for seven straight years. I’ve seen plenty of sippy cups crack or lose their seal within months. This one didn’t.
People Think It’s Just Another Spout Cup. It’s Not.
The misconception with the Dr. Brown’s Milestones Cheers 360 cup is that it’s just another spoutless sippy gimmick. What actually separates it is the small plastic valve on top that stops spills no matter which edge your kid drinks from, so when a one-year-old is throwing it around in the backseat, you’re not cleaning up the car. The beveled 360 design means there’s no “right side” to drink from, which matters a lot more than it sounds like when you’re handing a cup to a baby who has zero interest in holding it correctly.
Pull the Valve and It Becomes a Real Cup
Pull the valve piece out and the same cup your one-year-old was throwing around in the backseat instantly becomes a regular open drinking cup, no new purchase, no adapter, just a lid with a hole where the valve used to be. Most “transition” cups mean a new SKU at a new price; this one means unscrewing one part. That’s the “transition” part of the name actually delivering, since it’s the same cup through two completely different stages instead of a whole new purchase. It’s dishwasher safe on the top rack too, and after seven years and however many cycles, the valve seal shows zero signs of softening or warping, which is more than I can say for cheaper silicone valves that start leaking after a few months of daily washing.
My Four-Year-Old Still Grabs the Baby Cup
This one’s for parents who are done buying a new sippy cup every few months. My four-year-old and seven-year-old still reach for this cup sometimes, which I think is partly nostalgia and partly them wanting whatever the baby’s using. If you’ve got one kid and plan to toss it when they hit two, save the money, a cheaper cup will survive that long. But if you’re buying a cup that three kids will use across seven years of backseat throws and daily dishwasher cycles, this is the only one I’ve seen actually do it. It’s not for parents who want a straight-up adult-style cup from day one, there’s a valve stage first and some kids want to skip straight to that.
Pros
- Seal still held water after 7 years of daily use across 3 kids
- 360 spoutless design means no spills no matter which edge they drink from
- Converts from valve cup to a real open cup as kids grow
- Dishwasher safe top rack, held up to countless washes
- Durable enough to survive being thrown around in the backseat
Cons
- There’s a valve learning stage before it functions like a true open cup
- Sizing is split between a 6-month handled version and a 9-month version, so check which fits your kid
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it’s made from BPA-free and phthalate-free plastic and silicone. That’s standard across the Dr. Brown’s Milestones line, not just this cup.
What age is the Dr. Brown’s Milestones Cheers 360 cup for?
The 7 oz version with handles is for 6 months and up, and the 10 oz version is for 9 to 36 months. Pick based on whether your baby still needs side handles to grip it.

Yes, it’s top-rack dishwasher safe, and after seven years of washes in my house the seal still works. No hand-washing required to keep it functional long term.
